PIcasso’s Rose Period - his pleasant and cheerful works produced from 1904-1906 - marked a much more upbeat portrayal of art following the mournful, despairing tones of his earlier Blue Period. Steele thinks a lovely Rosé would have influenced the happy direction of his Rose period even more.
